Who is Mata Janaki?
In Hinduism, Mata Sita is the epitome of sacrifice, purity, patience, and dignity (Maryada). She is the daughter of King Janak of Mithila and the divine consort of Lord Rama. This day celebrates her appearance from the Earth.

Sankalp: Wake up early, bathe, wear Red/Yellow clothes, and take a vow (Sankalp) for the fast.

Installation: Place idols of Lord Ram and Mata Sita on a wooden chowki covered with a Red cloth.

Abhishek: Bathe the idols with Gangajal and Panchamrit (Milk, Curd, Ghee, Honey, Sugar).

Suhaag Offering: This is crucial. Offer Sindoor, Bangles, and Bindi to Mata Sita.

Bhog: Offer Yellow fruits, flowers, and homemade Halwa or Kesar Rice.

Aarti: Light a Ghee lamp, chant 'Ram-Siya' bhajans, and perform the final Aarti.
